William (Bill) Mackenzie

Non-Executive Chairman

Mr Mackenzie holds a degree in Mining Engineering and a Master of Business Administration. His thirty year career in the resources sector has involved the assessment, development and operation of mineral projects both within Australia and overseas in coal, base metals, precious metals, ferrous metals and industrial minerals.

Mr Mackenzie’s career has included direct operating, senior project management and chief executive roles with responsibility for business development, project and business unit management of various Australian and offshore ventures for companies including the Rio Tinto, New Hope, Dominion Mining, General Gold Resources and Asia Iron groups.

In 2002, Mr Mackenzie became principal of a specialised consultancy providing comprehensive, independent technical and commercial advice to boards, banks and investors involved in the development of mineral projects worldwide. He has extensive corporate governance experience having sat on several resource company boards either in non-executive or executive director roles.​
