ROUSSAKERO NICKEL PROJECT

Roussakero Nickel Project

The Ruossakero nickel project was originally discovered and drilled by the Finish Geological Survey (GTK) in the 1980s with results including:

  • 14m @ 1.03% Ni, 240ppm Co
  • 30m @ 0.64% Ni, 433ppm Co
  • 16m @ 0.92% Ni, 244ppm Co

Further exploration has been conducted by Anglo American, Outokumpu, and Dragon Mining.

A 42.1 Mt Nickel Sulphide JORC resource @ 0.40% nickel and 0.016% cobalt was estimated at Ruossakero by Snowden Optiro, for 168.4 Kt of Nickel and 6.7 Kt of Cobalt.

As much as 70% of the mafic-ultramafic mineralisation remains undrilled. In addition, two additional nickel-copper-cobalt targets, Sarvisoavi and Tsohkkoaivi have returned assay results of 10.3m @ 0.89% Ni, and 2.1m @ 1.16% Ni, respectively, presenting potential to grow the resource significantly and identify higher-grade zones.
